PARTNERS

Principal Funders

Pierre Fabre Foundation
Since 1999, the Pierre Fabre Foundation has been committed to improving access to quality healthcare for vulnerable communities across the Global South. In 2017, it began a long-term partnership with Standing Voice to strengthen and expand the Skin Cancer Prevention Programme in Tanzania and Malawi. With the Foundation’s support, we have transformed access to skin cancer care for people with albinism, scaling life-saving services through a decentralised network of clinics, improving access to early treatment, preventative resources and sun safety education, while training hundreds of health and welfare professionals. The Foundation’s backing has also enabled the integration of complementary holistic services: vision care, psychosocial support, and livelihood initiatives, reaching thousands of people with albinism and their families. Together, we are reducing preventable deaths, dismantling stigma, and empowering communities to build a brighter, safer future for people with albinism in Africa.

European Commission
The European Commission supports projects and initiatives that address social challenges through its social innovation programs. Since January 2023, Standing Voice has been funded by the European Commission in Malawi to strengthen access to health and welfare services for people with albinism. This collaboration also focuses on delivering human rights and advocacy training across communities to promote and defend the rights of persons with albinism in Malawi, particularly their rights to life, security, and healthcare. Together, we are working to ensure a safer, more inclusive future for persons with albinism in Malawi.

United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture
The United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture (UNVFVT) was established in 1981 by the UN General Assembly and it gives direct help to victims of torture and their families to rebuild their lives and to seek indemnity for the human rights violations they have suffered. Since 2019 Standing Voice has been proud to be a recipient of long term financial support from UNVFVT, enabling us to offer essential psychological and material assistance to survivors of attacks and their families in Malawi. This partnership has been essential in providing holistic care and support to persons with albinism who have survived violent abuses.

International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD)

The International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving access to dermatological care in low-resource areas and advancing the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) philanthropic initiatives. As a longstanding funder and partner of Standing Voice, ILDS and the IFD have supported Standing Voice to develop educational resources and train hundreds of health workers to lead the fight against skin cancer for people with albinism across Africa.

Croda Foundation
Established in 2020, the Croda Foundation is an independent charitable entity created by Croda International Plc. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting projects that enhance access to healthcare, alleviate poverty and hunger, improve livelihoods, and protect ecosystems and forests. Standing Voice is proud to partner with the Croda Foundation on three year project to strengthen provision of skin cancer prevention services to people with albinism in Tanzania. This collaboration focuses on strengthening the local healthcare system, ensuring long-term support and care for individuals with albinism. Together, we are working to address the urgent health challenges faced by this vulnerable population.
